Amigo

I need to stop calling every kid at work "amigo" when I don't know his/her name - especially the Hispanic ones.

I think that's a horrible idea because that is very funny.

I have a story somewhat like that from my tenure at the pinnacle of fine dining, Applebee's but I don't want to clog up your comments.

So, if you think something is funny, then it is a terrible idea for me? You could be my life coach, I think . . .

I think it could provide a lot of potential humor, & therefore it could be worth the risk.

And I would be your life coach. Muahahahahahaha *rubs hands together evily*

Andrew: Okay, you're hired, but I get to be your life coach too. To my knowledge, a duel life coach relationship of this nature has never been done. Let's make it happen.

Indi: Que pasa, amiga!!! I do say amiga to girls too, now that I think about it. Hahhahaha.

I call my kids my little monkeys. I also normally call my daycare kids my little monkeys. It's a "love name" and is absolutely fine...until I have an african american baby that I am watching and almost call her that out in public. Did you know if you start saying the word monkey it is easy to transition it into the word miss? As in "you are so sweet my little mo..miss cutie pie".

I call 'em 'scrotags", but that's just me.

Doctor: I think it would be a good idea to ask them what their name is.

Plus Amigo is masculine…Amiga is feminine.

but I still go with asking their name.

I call the kids I work with Mr. [last name] and Ms. [last name], like we were in some kind of formal prep school or something. I think they think I'm a freak, which is fair enough.
