I Called a Chicago Radio Station Today To Talk About Some Personal Stuff . . .

. . . and I got through on the first try! The producer guy picked up, asked me my name, I told him my name, and he liked what I had to say and said he'd get me on the air. As I sat on hold, it dawned on me that I gave my real name, so I hung up.

You dork! What were you going to say that you didn't want anyone knowing your "real name" ?

You should have disguised your voice. Maybe have gone with your Dr. Evil voice or maybe Ricky Bobby. Well I guess you better work on a poll for your fake radio name. I think we should get to decide what it is. And I swear on everything that I hold dearly in my life that the word verification for me was "prick." I don't know if that means I am going to have a bad day or I just needed to come to your blog for a good laugh.

Polk: Not so much . . .

Lyn: I was just worried they'd put me on and be like, "we got Dr. Ken on the line . . ."

Shife: I could have sang the whole call in my Michael McDonald voice.
